Melbourne Memoirs

Hey everyone!

I hope you're not all too stressed out as I am thanks to mid-semesters. I thought I'd post this before my trip to Melbourne during Easter Break became way outdated.  I was there for a total of five days but sadly got severe food poisoning before leaving for Melbourne :( So please, be careful of what you eat because food poisoning is freaking satanic.

As a result of being in an immobile, less than dysfunctional, state I let my mother do most of my packing. Yes, my health was really that bad. I also forgot at least half of my make up "essentials" so I just had to make do and compensate with what I had thrown into my bag in a hurry. There aren't as many photos as I would have hoped to take due to my questionable appearance and illness.  We also couldn't visit many places since I was sick and also due to dismal rainy weather (which ofc I didn't complain about since it was an excuse to read by the warm fireplace). Nevertheless, the change of scenery was adamantly refreshing as was the crisp cold air. Hope you enjoy the pictures I did manage to take x

Cutest little cafe that looks like it came out of a Wes Anderson film

Hope you enjoyed my random array of photographs; I wish I could've taken more :( Nevertheless, I'll definitely be coming back to properly appreciate Melbs.

Take care, love Thy x

Much Loved from March

Hey guys! A quarter of the year has passed. Sorry, what?! Time flies by so quickly it's insane. Moving on, I just thought I'd do a post to share with you a random assortment of things I've been loving this month. I always thought it would be fun to rave about stuff I like unrestrictedly in a list format. So, enjoy & hope March was a good month for you :)

   1.  Fangirl - Rainbow Rowell

Of course, I'm starting off with a book. I don't even know where to begin - I loved it so much I wish I hadn't read it so I could re-read it. After readThe Narrow Road to the Deep North, which was admittedly amazing, it was also hella depressing. Like, think of the deepest depression you know and dig deeper (as you would expect a book about POWs). Fangirl was a return into the YA realm and oh how I missed it. The main character is starting out university and socially awkward - which makes her totally relatable. I just fell completely in love with this book and marvelled at how it's both tense and lighthearted. Also, Levi is the ultimate book boyfriend oh my god. Don't get me started.

   2.  Too Faced Melted Lipsticks

If you're no stranger to the world of beauty, I can guarantee you've heard countless raves about these lipsticks. But you're gonna hear it (or read it) now from me, they are seriously the bees knees, the bomb dot com- whatever idiom floats your boat is what goes right now. They are 100% worth the hype, and if you've ever tried one - you know why. The pigmentation, application and colour range. are all on point - there is nothing more you could ask for from a lip product.

   3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I know, I know another Too Faced product, I'm a self-acclaimed addict. Nevertheless, this was my first high-end mascara product and it did not disappoint. I'm surprised how much of a difference it actually made to my lashes. I might do a review on this product soon, so I'll rave further about it then.

   4.  Whiplash

This list wouldn't be complete without a movie (or a few). But this month, Whiplash is simply the movie I cannot stop talking about. People must think I'm crazy because I must've asked at least 75% of the people I know if they've seen it - just so I can talk about it with someone new. Even if you're not a music person, the movie is amaaaazing. And if you are, it just gets better. Miles Teller's performance completely won me over - I no longer dislike you Miles, and I'm sorry I did.

      5. Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More Vinyl

I hadn't listened to Mumford & Sons in agesss so when they came on Spotify the other day I was hit by a wave of nostalgia since I loved them so much throughout highschool. Naturally, I decided I had to have Sigh No More on vinyl seeing as I love every song on this album. I ordered it on JB Hi-Fi in the spur of the moment, so when it came I actually had forgotten about it but it sure made my day. I've been non-stop listening to it since then and the sound quality is amazing I'm in loveee.

That's all from me for March & I am beyond excited for April, especially since the weather has finally started getting colder. Also, I'm off to Melbourne this Saturday, so you'll definitely be reading about that soon!

Love, Thy x
